AMD Expands Ryzen AI Embedded P100 Series with Up to 80 TOPS for Edge AI Applications
This expansion strengthens AMD's portfolio for the high-growth edge AI market, directly competing with NVIDIA and Intel.
AMD launched new Ryzen AI Embedded P100 processors with up to 80 TOPS, targeting edge AI applications in industrial automation, robotics, and medical imaging.
AMD expanded its Ryzen AI Embedded P100 processor series with new models featuring 8 to 12 'Zen 5' cores. These processors deliver up to 80 TOPS of AI inference performance, targeting industrial automation, mobile robotics, and medical imaging. The new series offers up to 39% higher multithreaded performance than the previous generation and is supported by the AMD ROCm open software ecosystem. Production for the new 8-12 core processors is expected in July 2026.
This expansion strengthens AMD's portfolio for the high-growth edge AI market, directly competing with NVIDIA and Intel. By offering a scalable platform that consolidates multiple industrial workloads and leverages an open-source software stack (ROCm), AMD aims to accelerate adoption in robotics, factory automation, and medical devices, reducing vendor lock-in for developers.
