NIO Launches Battery-as-a-Service 3.0 with 150kWh Solid-State Battery Swap
NIO's solid-state battery swap network could resolve the two biggest barriers to EV adoption — range anxiety and charging time — potentially reshaping the EV ownership model globally.
NIO has launched the third generation of its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, featuring a new 150kWh semi-solid-state battery pack that delivers over 1,000km of range. The upgraded swap stations can complete a battery exchange in under 3 minutes and support the new high-capacity pack. NIO now operates over 2,800 swap stations across China and has begun deploying in Norway and the Netherlands.
